About Us

Lions Clubs International is the world’s largest service club organization, bringing together 1.35 million members across more than 45,000 clubs in 206 countries and geographic areas.

With a rich history dating back to 1917, Lions are widely recognized for their dedication to fighting blindness, but our commitment to service extends far beyond. From protecting the environment and feeding the hungry to supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities, Lions take action to improve communities worldwide.

We give sight. Through vision screenings, hospital and clinic support, medicine distribution, and eye disease awareness, Lions work toward the goal of providing vision for all. Our SightFirst Program is at the forefront of efforts to eradicate preventable blindness through impactful initiatives across the globe.

We serve youth. Our community projects empower children and schools through scholarships, recreation, and mentorship. On an international scale, we foster leadership and creativity through programs like the Peace Poster Contest, All State Band, and Speech Contest.

We are active. Our motto, "We Serve," reflects our dedication to making a difference. As part of a global service network, Lions tackle challenges head-on, ensuring that local communities receive the support they need. The Sutton Lions Club has proudly carried this mission forward as a chartered member of Lions Clubs International since 1984.
